A wonderful time enjoyed at National Diwali Puja at Hiawatha

National Diwali Puja in Hiawatha Ashram Victoria

21 to 23 October 2022

Dear Family,

A wonderful time was enjoyed by all who attended the recent national Diwali Puja at Hiawatha.

News from the weekend in Hiawatha

Stunning beauty of the hilly countryside
Having last visited in 2001, I had little memory of the location and as such I was pleasantly surprised by the stunning beauty of the hilly countryside in which the Hiawatha property is nestled. The whole region is blanketed in lush green forests and hillsides with many a happy sheep and cow roaming placidly and enjoying the rich pastures. To my absolute delight, the Victorian Yogis are blessed with a beautiful clear, full and fast moving creek at the front boundary, with many a Yogi taking a wonderfully chilly footsoak and immersing themselves in the glorious natural surrounds, complimented by a big wombat hole perched just above where all the Yogis go for footsoaking. The charming little two bedroom cottage where a room is dedicated to Shri Mataji is set beside a small orchard in full spring flower which slopes down to the creek, it was a truly magical setting, like something from a story book. Shri Mataji’s presence can be strongly felt in Her room in the cottage, as is the case in all our Sahaja properties.

Blessing from Shri Lakshmi
Shri Mataji had said this property was a blessing from Shri Lakshmi, and one can really feel that in the richness of the countryside but also in the generosity of spirit within the collective, and of course, the amazing food! It can also be felt in the lovely calmness, peace and satisfaction you feel within yourself as you leave the property, after spending a couple days with the Yogis celebrating Diwali.

Very deep and blissful Puja
The Yogis had a wonderful time together over the weekend with a nice balance of social time and Sahaja activities, including collective footsoaking, shoe-beating, bush walks and an entertainment evening featuring the talents of the children and Yuvas. The pinnacle of the weekend was the very deep and blissful Puja, filled with the bhakti pouring from the many talented musicians the Victorian collective is blessed with and echoed in joyous rapture by the entire hall full of realised souls offering their dedication and devotion at our Mother’s Holy Lotus Feet. A wonderful work was done adorning the hall in hand-crafted Diwali themed decorations and in the beautiful Puja backdrop. All aspects of the Puja offerings were beautifully done with tremendous humility, love and collectivity.

Thank you so much to the Victorian Collective for your kindness, love, depth and devotion.
