Great Men’s and Yuva Weekend at Balmoral – 4th & 5th August 2018

Dear Yogis,

Jai Shri Mataji!

Recently the Yuva and Men’s weekend was held at Balmoral which by all accounts was a great success and enjoyed by everyone.

There were twenty-three Men and Yuvas there for the weekend. Lots of sports. Some gardening work led by Jacob.

Obligatory late-night video nights.  Marathon Bush walk on Sunday and some brave souls ventured into the iceberg inspired waters of the Mermaid Pools.  No Mermaids sighted, just had to break the surface of the water for those brave enough for the encounter.

The waters come from a deep underground spring, so it was close to freezing. The food was basically protein, protein and more protein and some bread with not much green to be seen.

Sharing some images and some great quotes from the weekend from those who attended:

“Great weekend shared with my brothers and the Yuvas. Great chance to get to know each other much better and to strengthen our collective, I feel I know why Shri Mataji wanted us to purchase Balmoral which was to use our property in this way, to spend time together meditating, enjoying each other and to be immersed in the beauty of Mother Nature. hope this is just the first of these weekends we can look forward to and we can do this a lot more”

“I had to leave a sausage behind which was a great tragedy, let’s do more of these weekends” David

It was great getting together with the Uncles and Yuvas. We spent the weekend down at Shri Mataji’s Balmoral property simply to enjoy time together. Everyone started arriving lunchtime on the Saturday. We cooked up a barbie and followed by some evening sports (not the best idea) which included soccer, badminton, and many intense games of ping-pong.

Later that evening, we had a collective meditation and foot soak which was really nice too.

The following day our plan was to walk along the Bargo river to reach Mermaid pools, a popular swimming spot in the summer… We, however, made ourselves believe it was summer due to the recent dry-sunny weather and decided to go for a swim in what felt like ice cold glacier water. I personally suffered, as I was the only one who decided to jump in without wearing a wetsuit. After about 5 minutes of pacing at the top of the jump rock that is!

Overall, the weekend was great! Good male bonding.

Regards, Madhava
