Caring and maintaining of Shri Mataji’s room and Altar at Burwood Ashram

Dear Yogis,
 
Jai Shri Mataji!
 
We are inviting the collective to assist with the auspicious task of caring and maintaining Shri Mataji’s room and the main Altar at Burwood Ashram on a regular basis.

Caring duties

Each of the existing Puja/Program Roster groups will have the opportunity to participate over a period of one month to visit Burwood to carry out the following caring duties:
 
Shri Mataji’s room

  • purchase and arrange flowers for Shri Mataji’s room.
  • remove old flowers.  
  • change Shri Mataji’s chair Sari.
  • light dusting and vacuuming of Her room.
  • plus any other attention that Her room requires.
  • finish with offering a small Puja and meditation in Her room. 
  • used Saris need to be taken for dry cleaning.

Main Altar in Meditation room

  • tidy Altar flowers.
  • change Shri Mataji’s Sari.
  • light cleaning of Altar area.

The Burwood residents will continue to purchase/arrange flowers for the main Altar and clean/vacuum the meditation room.

Roster Groups

The following groups have been nominated for the next 3 months.

  • Sunflower: March
  • Camellia: April
  • Mogra: May

Not on a Roster group?

If you are not in a roster group and would like to participate with caring and maintaining Shri Mataji’s room and the main Altar then please contact someone from a roster group or the NSW Councillors.

Accessing Burwood Ashram

As the side driveway gate is always closed, roster groups are requested to make arrangements with the residents before arriving at Burwood by calling Subhash on 0404 563 321 beforehand.
