Zoom Classes during May 2021

Zoom training classes
Zoom is now being used more and more for online programs, meetings and webcasts.

We are offering classes to learn what Zoom is and how to present online programs using Zoom, as a:

  • PARTICIPANT – how to join Zoom sessions. If you haven’t used Zoom before then this session is for you!
  • HOST – how to host an online public or meditation program on Zoom.
  • PRESENTER – how to join a Host to present an online program.
  • TECHNICAL SUPPORT – helping teams present programs on Zoom.

Classes are open to everyone, of all skill levels, and will be conducted by Australian Yogis. Sessions will be presented over the two Sundays and will be available on YouTube and Zoom.

DAY 1. Sunday 16th May 2021 at 11AM to 1PM
  • Session 1: INTRODUCTION TO ZOOM
    11AM to 12PM (Sydney time)

    For yogis who have not yet used Zoom and would like to know how to participate in Zoom sessions using a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. You be shown how to install and use Zoom on your device. Session will be provided via YouTube and Zoom. Please use the YouTube connection if you have not used Zoom before.
  • Session 2: HOSTING A ZOOM PROGRAM
    12PM to 1PM (Sydney time)

    For yogis who would like to learn how to host a public program on Zoom using a laptop or desktop computer. A program Hosts presents the program, talks with those who have joined the Zoom session and looks after the online chats and playing of videos and music etc. Hosts need to have a good knowledge of Zoom.
DAY 2. Sunday 23rd May 2021 at 11AM to 1PM
  • Session 3: BEING A ZOOM PRESENTER
    11AM to 12PM (Sydney time)

    For yogis who would like to co-present a program with a Host of a Zoom program. Normally, the Presenter may pre-select videos and music and coordinate with the program host to present a Zoom session. The Presenter will talk with those who have joined the Zoom session while the Host looks after the online chats and playing of videos and music etc. Presenters only need a basic knowledge of Zoom.
  • Session 4: TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR ZOOM HOSTS
    12PM to 1PM (Sydney time)

    For yogis who would do not wish to host or present a Zoom program but would like to help others present a program on Zoom. The technical support person looks after the playing of videos and music etc and ensures everyone is connected properly to the Zoom session. The technical support person needs to have a good knowledge of Zoom.
