Working Bee at our Balmoral Ashram property – Cancelled

Jai Shri Mataji!After the recent bushfires, there will be a much needed working bee this weekend at Balmoral. 
 
The buildings on our property have been saved but the surrounding gardens, fences, trees and bushland have been burnt.
 
We need the collective’s assistance to bring Balmoral property back to a safe and clean state. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Equipment needed

Please bring a trailer (if you have one), chainsaws, gloves, vacuum cleaners, and anything for removing dust and soot.

Personal protective equipment

As the area is very dusty and covered in soot from the fires, please bring the following items to protect yourself…

• Respiratory protection – disposable respirators and dust masks.
• Eye protection – goggles and safety glasses.
• Hearing protection – ear muffs and plugs if operating chainsaw etc..
• Hand protection – gloves and barrier creams.
• Foot protection – boots or well covered shoes, please no thongs or sandals.
• Personal protection – old working clothes, sunhat and sunscreen lotion.

Announcement from the NSW State Government.

Simon just called, he was at the local community hall in Balmoral and has passed on a big community announcement from the NSW State Government.
 
We can arrange a private contractor to come and clean-up the property, take away all the burnt sheds, fallen trees and we then give the bill to the Government. The Government will fund the clean-up. A little miracle
 
The working bee can concentrate on cleaning Shri Mataji’s cottage, the kitchen and Puja Hall and chop fallen trees for next season’s firewood.
 
We spoke with our CGU Insurance assessor today and are meeting with them at noon this Saturday to assess the damage for our claim.
