Update on NSW’s WWCC

Dear NSW Yogis,

Jai Shri Mataji!

We are pleased to announce Maria Sullivan has taken on the role of Child Safety Coordinator for the NSW collective. The role was previously performed by Lisa Baron and Jenny Zappavigna. We wish to thank them for their contribution over the past 5 years in ensuring we continually met our legal requirements as a not-for-profit, Child Friendly organisation.

WWCC Regulations.

One of Maria’s duties as Child Safety Coordinator is to administer our collective’s compliance with the NSW Government’s Office of Children’s Guardian through their Working with Children Check (WWCC) Regulations.

All Yogis, over the age of 18 years, who participate in our collective and public events need to comply with the WWCC Regulations by having a current Working with Children Check approval.

Next steps

Maria will be using our existing WWCC records to ensure everyone who is on our NSW email list has a current WWCC check, or may need to apply for a WWCC if they are new to the collective.

Maria will provide you with all the support you need during the process so please contact her if you have any questions or concerns.
