Tribute to Colin Bower
1957 ~ 2025
Jai Shri Mataji!
After a long battle with illness, we are sharing the sad news that Colin Bower from the Newcastle and Hunter collective passed away today 13th May 2025 surrounded by loved ones.
Colin is survived by his beloved and revered wife Muesser.
Colin is held in high esteem by all his Sahaja Yoga brothers and sisters both here in Australia and in Turkiye where he spent much time and where he was also much loved.
Colin came to Sahaja Yoga in the last nineties as a local Novocastrian and has been a stalwart Sahaja Yogis and contributor to Sahaja Yoga.
It has been my privilege to know Colin when he first came to Sahaja Yoga from my time in Newcastle. We remained dear friends since we first met. We went on tour together and attended international Pujas in Cabella and in the United States, where by his good fortune, HH Shri Mataji matched him to Muesser from Turkiye.
I was present when his name was called out together with Muesser that warm afternoon in the conference room of the US Hotel where we were hosting Shri Ganesha Puja. Colin was love struck from the first moment his eyes beheld his wife to be. Colin remained a devoted and loving husband from that first day until he drew his last breath. Colin said on many occasions that Muesser was a gift from Adi Shakti and the love of his life.
Of my friend, it is to fair to say he was a simple man of simple means but that was not his measure. How did he live his life? Colin freely and openly gave to anyone who asked for help. What did he gain in life? The respect and love of many who knew him. Colin had no great station in worldly means, but he had a great and large heart. Colin played his God given part that Shri Mataji gives to us us all, and that is to be a good Sahaja Yogi.
Colin enjoyed the most valuable wealth one can hope for, the deep love and abiding affection of those closest to him. Colin was a great Sahaja brother who befriended everyone, he made you laugh and smile in his company, ever ready, with a word to cheer you up and to bring back a smile.
Colin put his whole being into Sahaja Yoga, his family his beloved Muesser and for his sisters and brothers. He was my brother. Those of us who knew him and loved him, we are the lesser due to his passing, but he is in a better place for he is now stationed at the Feet of his beloved Mother HH Shri Mataji.

Like a flower that falls into the current and flows and enjoys all the beauties of that current. In the same way, you should enjoy. When that enjoyment comes into you, you will start trusting. And trust your Mother.”
