Dear Family,

Jai Shri Mataji!

“This axis is the intelligence of the Mother Earth.”

This weekend, the world collective celebrates Makar Sankranti  – a traditional celebration that marks the return of the Sun to the northern hemisphere and the new season.

To mark this special time, we offer an extended program and invite the collective to join us to watch two auspicious Makar Sankranti events that were celebrated in the presence of our Divine Mother, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.

The first event was when Shri Mataji arrived at Sydney Airport for the start of Her 2006 Australian visit and the Australian collective gathered to perform a short Makar Sankranti Puja to Shri Mataji at the airport.

This will be followed by Makar Sankranti Puja that was held in Mumbai on 10th January 1988 where Shri Mataji describes how the earth’s axis is the intelligence of the Mother Earth. We will then enjoy Shri Mataji’s full Puja, the Aarti and beautiful Bhajans after Puja.

Let’s gather as one collective at our Divine Mother’s Lotus Feet to enjoy Her loving vibrations.

“This axis is the intelligence of the Mother Earth.”

“This axis is the intelligence of the Mother Earth. It is not only the intelligence but it is the fragrance, and apart from, it is the Sushumna Nadi, you can say, of the Mother Earth. Now through this axis only all these swayambhus and all these great happenings of earthquakes and all that takes place.”

“Now the Sushumna Nadi is the one where one would say is the equator – it’s not, is not the equator, but is the axis of the Mother Earth. Axis of the Mother Earth is the Sushumna, and that has to act; and when it comes to that axis then we should understand that we have to be on our axis. So we are on the axis, it is the one that balances.”
