Clarification regarding Shri MahaGanesha Puja and Australian Collective

Dear Family,

Jai Shri Mataji!

You may have received a message a couple of weeks ago from the Central Committee (CC), forwarded by the World Foundation, regarding next year’s Shri MahaGanesha Puja. The World Foundation have publicly apologised for distributing this email, and Country Coordinators have stated that the CC email was not auspicious. The CC as yet, have not apologised for sending this email and as such we, your Australian Councillors, feel we should briefly clarify the facts for all.

The email message from the CC referred to recollections of Her Holiness Shri Mataji’s advice regarding the upcoming Shri MahaGanesha Puja being held at Uluru in Central Australia next year and also contained unverified statements about the 800 – 850 member Australian Collective.

Briefly, the facts are:

Shri MahaGanesha Puja, Uluru 2019

• HH Shri Mataji postponed the Puja in 1988.  “So the Maha puja has been postponed in a way. I’ll see to it that we do it” The Role of Women, 19 June 1988, Shudy Camps, UK

HH Shri Mataji also stated in Her Talk at Shri Ganesha Puja 1992 in Australia that “This is a place where I say resides MahaGanesha.” View the video extract of both Talks at:  https://youtu.be/EXWTw–NoYY

• HH Shri Mataji requested that the Maha Puja be hosted at Uluru as a significant event in the realisation and awakening of specific aspects and qualities of the Mooladhara.  She requested a map indicating that with the  manifestation of Shri MahaGanesha at Uluru, the Divine aspect of God as Shri Adi Shakti and God as Shri Sadashiva would also be present. She then informed us which of the sacred sites were represented by these Divine aspects to be included in the Puja.

• Yogis including HH Shri Mataji’s family members requested permission to visit Uluru in 2007.  HH Shri Mataji gave Her blessings.  Yogis have been visiting Uluru from 2007 until 2018 as a pilgrimage with no issues and the occasions are always of deep significance and spiritual gravity.

• The vibrations clearly indicate that the Shri MahaGanesha Puja should be held in 2019 and as such the Puja is going to be held 6th – 9th September 2019.

False, unsubstantiated claims of division in the Australian Collective

• The Australian Collective is not a split Collective. As in most collectives in the world some have chosen to leave. However the numbers are very small compared to the 800 – 850 Yogis within the Australian Collective. The CC appear to have accepted claims of a split from those no longer part of the Australian Collective without appropriately verifying such claims with the Australian Council.

• The Australian Collective numbers 800 – 850 Yogis and is growing.  The Collective holds 94 weekly public programs with a Councillor structure chosen on vibrations and Trustees acting to ensure the professional management of our assets.  These arrangements were created and put in place specifically by HH Shri Mataji.

• Australia has established its financial, and governance credentials to a high level such that it was able to achieve government registration as a Charitable organisation in Australia in 2013. Life Eternal Trust Australia maintains a high level of financial governance and independent auditing every year as the  Australian Taxation Office monitors the  activities of charitable organisations to ensure their financial and governance standards are accurate and compliant under Australian law.

• HH Shri Mataji gave clear advice about having nothing to do with people who do not attend the Collective, ‘murmuring souls’ and break away groups.

However, the CC has chosen to listen to and support  those who are no longer part of the Collective and also publicly criticise the Australian Collective, without appropriately verifying these unsubstantiated claims.

A few more points relevant to these matters:

Influence of Social Media and Rumours

Rumours spread on Social Media by Yogis (in contradiction to HH Shri Mataji’s advice) contain freely made up criticisms and accusations of many things and persons in Sahaja Yoga with a high proportion involving criticism of Australia.  These activities by people who describe themselves as Sahaja Yogis clearly reflect a disconnection and those involved need to be aware of the damage they are doing to themselves and the disturbances they create in others.

Overwhelming support

We thank the numerous Yogis around the world continuing to inquire about attending the upcoming National Shri MahaGanesha Puja, and the Country Coordinators who have expressed their concern about the CC message and confirmed their love and support and encouragement for the Australian Collective and the Puja. During discussion about the CC email message at the Shri Ganesha Puja Country Coordinators meeting in Cabella, Country Coordinators stated that the CC message was not auspicious  but as yet the CC have not provided an apology to the Australian and World Collective.

Carrying on as planned

We are continuing with plans for the National Shri MahaGanesha Puja at Uluru in September 2019 and again invite everyone from around the world to join us for this joyous event.

Our invitation to Shri MahaGanesha Puja can be found here: www.shrimahaganeshapuja.com

As we are our own gurus, we respectfully request our brothers and sisters around the world to individually seek HH Shri Mataji’s indications through the vibrations to see if they should attend the Puja or not.

Further advice from HH Shri Mataji about collectivity:

 “Relationship should be of perfection…”

“So this is the best way to judge, that whether anybody drops out or not, anybody comes in or not, on your own how far are you going to benefit, what is your interest in this matter and this is how you should judge yourself. To judge yourself, as I have told you, relationship should be of perfection that you should perfect yourself because if you have to offer something to God, if you have get something connected to God that instrument should be perfect. So the attitude towards yourself has to be of perfection. But on the contrary the imperfections of others are more attractive. You run to that person because he’s imperfect. You start thinking [the same], you must help, how can you get it out. That’s not your job. That’s my look-out. I can work it out Myself. You don’t have to run after a person who has been discarded just now by Sahaja Yoga. I’m looking after him much more than I’m looking after you. So you don’t have to bother but you keep to the collectivity, you keep to the sangha, you keep with the collective personality because he will be lost with that person as he is lost.”
HH Shri Mataji, 12 July 1982, Talk After Bhoomi Puja before Havan, Derby, United Kingdom

“Don’t talk ill of each other…”

“Also as I told you, that don’t talk ill of each other on the back. It’s a very bad habit. That’s how you’ll catch in bhoots and you’ll become extremely negative. Any such thought comes into your mind, just stop it. It’s a very nasty disease, you see, that spreads, so it makes you – I mean, it’s so sickening, you know. When I hear somebody who talks ill of someone its extremely sickening, because it’s not being human. ….  In Sahaja Yoga it doesn’t behove. No Sahaja yogis should talk ill about each other. Nor should they discuss each other. Never! Now somebody does that, you must immediately say “Now please, I don’t want to hear.  Please don’t tell me. This is not a very good thing.” The politicians do like that, but not Sahaja yogis. Sahaja yogis should not do because, you see, you are great people, you are yogis.”
